This one I am leaving as well. Cavendish is always a place for locals to point to when asked by a tourist. It has everything that a tourist wants..including the price tag! haha. But really, once and awhile even us Islanders go there to check out the 'scene' and go to the beach. The Cavendish Boardwalk is the place there for shopping with a whole bunch of little outlets and stores. There is good golfing there (Green Gables Golf Course), great campgrounds (e.g. Sunset Campground), and of course Anne!
I love Charlottetown for it's simplicity and pace. It's always like going back a few years there, you see everyone talking to everyone else and just enjoying themselves. The Confederation Centre of the Arts has great plays and the dinner theatres and such are a lot of fun as well. Peake's Quay and the Waterfront are the places to be if you are really into the tourist bit, there is a lot there to keep one occupied!
Other than that ladies and gents, just pile into the car and go where you feel like. I can't even begin to express how much Scott and I love the Island and can't wait to move there again. We love the Western part of the Island and go up there every year to sigh see and visit.
Good luck!!!!!
