Honeymoon

Forget no time! It's off to Maine we go!!

Wow, I forgot to update this section of the site! haha..Scott has in fact got 2 weeks off, he actually has been working some extra shifts here and there to get the extra time off to go home and away for the honeymoon. So as of July 2, we are off to Maine! We had originally intended on renting a car (sheesh, talk about $$$) for the week we are gone, but my parents amazingly offered us their car for the trip! WOOT! That sealed the deal I can tell you. :)

We have not really planned anything, haha, talk about going against all the silly honeymoon info in the bridal books and magazines.  The only thing we do have planned is the evening of July 2, we will head to the chinese food place Scott has been dreaming about for a year and then to Acadia National Park, where we will be at a hotel for that evening in the park.  After that it's just do what we feel like and we will end up in the WHite Mountains I hope...it will be a lot of driving in those few days, but we get along so well when we drive and we just enjoy being out and about, we miss having a car!!!!!

Talk soon!

No time! :(

Hello everyone! Scott started a new job in December 2006, so as a newbie he won't have too much time to take off for the wedding.  That being said, we will not be having a honeymoon as planned! No worries though, we have a cottage booked for a couple of days to just be together before he's back to workie work! heehee sucka! :P

I have no doubt that we will plan for something very warm and nice for next year perhaps..I'm thinking down south!! :D

Maine honeymoon..muwhahahaha

We talked for a long time about where to go, threw around some ideas. However, things are as always tight ($) and we were somewhat limited on where we could go.  Not that we wanted to go anywhere and spend a lot of money, but it narrows the list at least somewhat!

We had thought about the Dominican or Cuba, but at the time when we are getting married that is not prime tourist season for these locations and we did not really want to go before the wedding e.g. February. So that ended that!

Next up was going out West ( BC for hiking or visiting Scott's sister and her family).  I suppose that will always be an option as I do not know where I am going to school after I graduate SMU.  I am hoping to go into Education and it would be nice to be accepted out West.  So that's always a possiblity.

However....we always kept coming back to Maine.  It all started out because Scott has been wanting to go to Portland b/c apparently the BEST Chinese food in the world is there ( :S ) so we started building around that.  Sooo, we think we will just pack up the car with camping gear, hop in and just drive to Maine.  WE travel very well together and both enjoy just driving and seeing where it takes us.  I want to go to the White mountains there and so most of the time will prolly be spent there hiking and camping.  I think it will be fantastic!

I will keep all updated on our plans!
