Hey ladies (and all who read this!),

Things are moving at a much more accelerated rate that for sure! Less than 5 weeks to go and it feels like it's our wedding now! haha, not just planning for someone else as it has kind of felt like.  I won't lie, there have been some stressful moments, but it's still pretty fun and things are really coming together and thigns are getting finished up. Tonight Scott and I will be finishing up the lawnchairs we have been working on for months, that was a MAJOR duty project that's for sure!

Most of the little things that have been made or put together for the ceremony, reception, and party are just about done (I don't want to reveal too much on here! :D), and the cars have been booked for the wedding day! yay!!)

I don't have much time to write on here anymore, but I think partly for you guys, and for myself as a journal of sorts I wanted to write a little something every month just to be updated. :)  My seamstress is frantically sewing my dress after the mock dress fitting that occurred earlier this month when I was home.  It was to make sure it was what I wanted and now she is busily working on the real thing! This is really exciting and I can't wait for my first fitting :D

Hey ladies....Margaret Sophia (aka MOH) threw me a shower in Halifax yesterday and it was great! I think about 10 people in total and it was a lot of fun and the gifts were fantastic...we went out afterwards to the Argyle for drinks (martinis in my case :D) and some munchies and it was just awesome to have a girl's day.

Yay!! I am starting to get the RSVPs back...it's fun to open up our special email and see the people coming..makes it seem all the more real now :)

I sent an email out to you guys but I wanted to put it on here nevertheless...b/c the shiny side is apparently really difficult to work with and will pucker around the seams (coming from a seamstress), we will have to go with the matte side out instead. I'm a bit disappointed, but what can you do? I'm sure it wiill only look inside out to me! lol

Hey ladies!! I hope you're all keeping up on the news updates! lol (how bridezilla does THAT sound? :P) My cousin writes a monthly bridesmaid newsletter which I think is neat but I think I'll just keep writing in this section!

It's a little less than 4 months away!! HOLY! Once and awhile it will hit me, although I still feel like I am planning for someone else, I'm sure that's the way it usually feels for a bride! Yesterday I was sitting on the bus with my MP3 player and a certain song came on which is Scott's sister and her hubby'sd song and I thought about having it played at the dance...it's a faster fun song and I thought "I'll have to dance it up with Amanda to get her up on the dance floor"...then it hit me: wow, that will be my actual sister-in-law...lol silly things like that make me realize it's really happening!!

I hope you have all found seamstresses for your dresses..I know Cara is getting her talented MIL to make hers, but I hope that the rest have found people who aren't too expensive! I hate the thought of you guys having to spend a lot of money!! :( 

We have started the construction of the invitations; I want them to go out by April 1st, so the time is ticking!! I only have a few addresses left to get so we are almost finished in that area, and they should be up and gone by the 'deadline'. yay!! It was a family factory line when I was home last week with the invites, Da was cutting the outer sheets into strips, I was measuring them into the proper lengths, Devon was folding and mom was cutting the round edges...awww how close are we? LOL

Hmm what else...those of you who have to travel and take time off for work..don't forget to get your requests in early!! Although I would never 'dictate' when you should be home, I know that my MOH (Sophia) is planning some sort of sharty (shower/party) for me a few days before the wedding so hopefully everyone will be there!! I know she will be in contact with you all at some point, I think it would be great for her to get to know you guys beforehand!!

Anyhoo, that's about it, nothing really to report. I don't want to spill the beans TOO much on this site..can't give away all my secrets to everyone who peruses the website!!! :D

Hey girls..haha not sure if anyone looks at this anymore but I'll write on stubbornly like an idiot :D

Things are progressing well...we will be booking the rental cars shortly, and I'm just working on little things here and there (stuff for the reception)..I dare not divulge too much information..don't want to give everything away!! I can't believe in just 4 and a half months I'll be getting married..the last year just flew by and between work, school and all this planning I feel it's been a whirlwind! Fun, but crazy!

I will be going home to PEI the third week of February to meet with the musicians, the reverend and my dressmaker. Very exciting!! I wish Scott could come home with me, but since he's still new at his work he'll have to manage without me :)

Hey ladies, as some of you know, one of my dearest friends (and bridesmaid) Kelly B will unfortunately not be able to be a BM for me.  Her other half Matt has been in Alberta for awhile now and will most likely be staying there until September or beyond. Kelly will be joiing him when she finishes her semester in April, making it difficult to take part in the festivities! :( sniffle

I love Kelly to bits, and she has been one of my best friends for many years (since college ol' girl huh!! :)), but I totally understand her wanting to be with her boyfriend, and I wish her well and hope that the tides change and they will MAYBE work on this side of the country so she can still attend! haha. 

On a GREAT note, my sister-in-law has wonderfully accepted to be a bridesmaid for me and I am absolutely thrilled.  I love that girl, and am honoured to have her as part of my wedding party. Welcome aboard the goofball train girl!!

Lol, wow it's true that more and more will I be using this to update my peeps! lol After a long 'soul search' with regards to money and some issues, I have decided that Scott and I should indeed splurge for a DJ (haha if we can book one this late in the game).

It kept creeping back into my mind, I would say that I was happy with a laptop DJ or whatnot but I just wasn't. Music is SO important to me that I wanted to have a great music and not have to worry about volume and all that nonsense....LOL why do it yourself when someone else can for a large sum of money? :D

Hey ladies, boy it's been a week! Things are progressin nicely, it's mainly little things going on at the Halifax homefront, and home renos on the Appin Road. Mom and Dad (and Scott and I when we are home!) have worked some serious butt off to get things looking beautiful for the wedding! Mike and Tara (my older brother and his girlfriend) came home in the summer and a new deck was built...how lovely for pics! ;) wink wink, nudge nudge.  Hardwood floors were put down upstairs and things are being painted left right and centre! The homestead looks amazing and I thank my whole fam foring doing this all in one year! lol

I keep thinking I should be pawning off some things to do to my girlies, but I have to say, all is so amazingly organized that there just isn't a whole lot to do,e specially when you're away! lol I forgive you all, I really do :P I am currently working on some little paper boats that will serve as the name cards for place settings. I had not intended on having a seating plan, but I was a bit uneasy at the thought of NOT having people from both sides mingling and I was VERY paranoid about those who are coming that don't know anyone, I don't want them to feel left out.  Therefore, I HAVE decided to have a seating plan, although it will be a lot of work, I think it will be great! Plus these little origami boats are just too cute..they have Life Saver life rings! haha

Anyhoo, it IS pretty quiet though, we are still DJ-less, and I think it will be that way for the wedding. My little brother will let us use his laptop and we will have to rent a soundsystem, that's ok I guess. I will admit I'm disappointed as music is very important to me, but hey, if you can't do it you can't do it!
