How We Met:
Our friend Julie gets the credit for this one. It was not long after I had broken up with someone else that Jules suggested I meet one of her friend's - Scott! I met him, and it was love at first sight. As corny as it sounds, you really DO know when you have met your soulmate.... K&S
How We Got Engaged:
Scott and I are goobers that's for sure. Every year we go up West on PEI (our home province) to a place called Kildare Capes. It's on the north side and it's a VERY secluded beautiful beach with enormous red cliffs and wonderful views. We go every year and spend hours there swimming, walking, climbing and collecting rocks. So in July. 2005, we were home from Halifax to go camping with my family and to go to Kildare. It was a fantastic day, and we spent a nice day at the Capes. He began to chat with a man who was camping there and I decided to go for a walk along the cliffs. He soon followed as I was standing on one particularly pretty and familiar cliff and he gave me a big hug. After a few minutes I said..'Well?' heehee...and he said 'Would you be my wife?'. We got a good laugh and I said yes..of course! Then he said damnnit I left the ring way back in the car! heehee...which I knew about of course (as I had picked out the ring!). It was perfect because it was so goofy and unorganized..just like us! I loved every bit of that day! K&S |
